God is neither black nor white
God is Neither Black Nor White In a world divided by race, color, and cultural differences, it is crucial to remember that God transcends all human boundaries. The Creator of the universe is not bound by skin color, ethnicity, or cultural identity. God is spirit (John 4:24), infinite and beyond the limitations of human characteristics. The Bible tells us that humanity is made in God's image (Genesis 1:27). This divine image is not confined to physical attributes but speaks to the spiritual nature, creativity, and moral capacity we all share. Black, white, Asian, or any other race—each person reflects a piece of God's glory, making all of us equally valuable in His sight. Throughout history, people have attempted to depict God and Jesus in ways that reflect their own cultural identities. While these images can foster a personal connection, they should never be used to exclude or elevate one race over another. God does not favor one group of people based on appearance or background. Acts 10:34-35 reminds us, "God shows no partiality, but in every nation, anyone who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him." The diversity of humanity is a testament to God’s creativity. Just as a rainbow is beautiful because of its variety of colors, the human race reflects God's beauty through its diversity. Instead of focusing on physical distinctions, we are called to love one another as brothers and sisters, united by the same Creator. Ultimately, God’s identity is not about color but about His character—holy, just, loving, and merciful. His love knows no boundaries and is available to all who seek Him. When we focus on these truths, we move closer to understanding the heart of God and further away from the divisions that keep us apart. In God’s eyes, we are one family, created for His glory. Let us celebrate our differences while remembering that our true identity is found in Him, not in the color of our skin.
